The Katy area is already experiencing a surge of growth. With the opening of Segment E of the Grand Parkway, that growth will extend north into areas which have previously seen limited road access. For the last few years, most of the growth in Katy as centered south of I-10 in Fort Bend County. The roughly 15 mile stretch of the Grand Parkway toll road connecting Interstate 10 to U.S. 290 will no doubt shift the real estate landscape, as more opportunities for land development spur new growth between Katy and Cypress in into northern and western Harris County.
