Denton County Home Prices Bounce, But Still Lower Than a Year Ago

The Denton County and North Texas housing market continued to bounce in April. Median home prices were up over $40,000 from January, but still down 1.6 percent from April of last year. The ridiculous bubble from the spring of 2022 continues to make for tough year-over-year comparisons. Thin resale inventory and higher prices are still taking a toll on sales. North Texas home sales have tapered before the Federal Reserve. The stellar spring selling season is gone, and now we just have the record high prices along with limited inventory. Denton County Home Prices Hit New High In March As Sales Cool

Denton County home prices hit a new record high in March with the average price of a Denton County home posting at just over $360,000. Median home prices for Denton County also hit a new all-time high rising to almost $320,000. That was a jump of 8 percent from March of last year.
