Prosper Texas is an affluent DFW suburb along the 380 Corridor, located in Denton and Collin counties. The area around Prosper has grown rapidly in recent years via the outgrowth from Dallas and Plano into new DFW area suburbs. With abundant land for new homes along the 380 Corridor near the North Dallas Tollway, Prosper was an obvious location for new development.

The first settlers arrived in the mid 1800’s back when cotton farming was a staple of the community. After the creation of the St Louis and San Francisco Railroad was created, the communities of Rock Hill and Richland came together forming what is known as Prosper. Prosper continued to serve as a railroad stop between Dallas and Sherman, and the town of Prosper was incorporated in 1914.

As of January 2017, the population of Prosper was estimated at over 20,000 residents occupying the roughly 27 square miles, but with double-digit annual growth rates, that number is surely higher. Prosper Texas has a number of new home communities attracting families to the area. Prosper Independent School District is currently serving those families and the children who call Prosper home. Prosper High School is currently the only high school in the district, but Prosper ISD is preparing for all of the growth coming to the 380 Corridor. Prosper ISD expects to have 45000-50000 students at build-out and 6-8 high schools with a 5A classification.

If you are looking to move to the Prosper area, contact us today for special incentives for relocation buyers within the DFW area. If you own an existing home you can probably qualify for a free move-up, as well as available discounts and incentives on some great new Prosper TX homes.
