Denton County Existing Home Sales Decline 11% In October

Denton County existing home sales declined 11 percent in the month of October. Sales of existing single-family homes were a bit softer still. Pending sales of existing resale single-family properties in Denton County currently show an 18 percent decline for October.  These updated NTREIS figures for Denton County Texas show that the correction in the North Texas real estate market is still in play. Denton County Texas home sales continued to slide in October as the real estate market softened throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. LGI Homes Stock Nosedives As Q3 Sales Decline 7.4% With Higher Community Count

Woodlands based LGI Homes posted third quarter results that didn't impress the market. Home closings fell 7.4% in the latest quarter. More concerning is that LGI's sales decline occurred as the community count increased from 77 to 81. Yield Surge Hits Already Beaten Down Homebuilder Stocks

The yield surge experienced this week certainly took its toll on homebuilder stocks. Existing Home Sales Soften As New Home Permits Stall

Today the National Association of Realtors reported that existing home sales for August came in flat from last month, actually down about 1.5% from this time last year.
