Denton County New Home Prices Fall 12 Percent

Average new home prices in Denton County were 12 percent lower than the same time a year ago. Updated NTREIS Trends figures show a 7.2 percent decline in the median price for a new home in Denton County while average prices of new construction slid 11.7 percent from March of last year. DFW Unemployment Rate Drops To 3.3 Percent

The Texas unemployment rate hit a fresh low in the month of June, with the official headline number falling to 3.4 percent. According to the Texas Workforce Commission Texas added 45,000 jobs during the month and 315,600 jobs over the latest 12 month period. Dallas-Fort Worth posted an unemployment rate of 3.3 percent, down from 3.8 percent a year ago. Denton County Employment Growth Continues In 2019

The BLS February employment report was a big disappointment in terms of the number of jobs added, but Denton County continues to see solid employment growth. So far in 2019 the trend of more jobs in the area is still intact.
