The easy year-over-year comparisons are coming to an end for the DFW housing market. Dallas-Fort Worth home sales rose one percent in November compared to the same time a year ago, while pending home sales were about 5 percent higher. The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M is apparently still phoning it in when it comes to DFW area home sales estimates. I was hoping the A&M RECenter had fixed their algorithm for late closings to produce better monthly sales estimates for the local real estate boards. Existing Home Sales Decline For 14th Consecutive Month

The National Association of Realtors reported existing home sales for April which came in short of expectations. Existing sales in April posted at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.19 million units. This was 0.4 percent lower than March and 4.4 percent lower than April of 2018.
